About Me and TDM

Hello Everybody,  I am working on getting this website up and running…

Please feel free to check around and give suggestions and comments…

I started driving a truck in August 1998.  I have over a million miles behind me. I have been divorced twice and widowed once. I have two beautiful girls. This blog will tell my story of how I started out, my adventures on the road, as well as the heartbreaks I have encountered.  The times I missed with the girls and also all of the many interesting people I have met along the way. The places I go, and the things I see.  And now, the book I will write, the stories I tell and the money I will make.

I feel my life is not out of the ordinary but I was told that, “Ordinary people have extraordinary moments”.  I had to agree.  I am just an ordinary person, but I do work in a not so ordinary job for women.. don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of female drivers, but I actually live in my truck… I work out of the distribution center in Reno, NV. and have for almost 4 years…

My oldest daughter, Crystal, is 22.. She just married in Nov. ’09.  Her husband is in the Army National Guard and has been on 3 tours of duty to Afghanistan and Iraq.  My youngest daughter, Katie, is 20. She just returned from a year long tour to Afghanistan on September 11, 2009.  I thought that couldn’t have been a better time.. She is also in the Army National Guard.  I am very proud of both children…

Come along and roll with me down the highways…thanks all and welcome.. Hope you enjoy it…

Very good idea. In 36yrs hate to say how many miles I’ve got lol. Others have told me to do as you are doing. Amazing what we take as every day stuff on the road. Compared to people that have not traveled much. Keep up the good reads :o)

Amazing website! I’ll be checking daily for updates and new chapters in the life of the TDM. Aside: Noticed you drive a Volvo. We have a volvo in our company fleet. Don’t know a lot about big trucks, but it seems to be a nice rig!
